Yujin

Yujin (유진) is a South Korean singer and actress. She is the leader of the project girl group Kep1er and a member of the girl group CLC.

Early Life[]

Yujin was born on August 12, 1996 in Jeonju, North Jeolla, South Korea. She has a younger brother.

Yujin is an alumni of Hanlim Art School. Prior that, she attended Cheongdam High School.

Career[]

Pre-debut[]

Yujin joined Cube Entertainment in May 2011. She also passed the audition round for JYP Entertainment. However, she chose Cube because she was a fan of 4minute's HyunA.

In May 2014, Yujin, along with Seunghee, Seungyeon, Sorn, and Yeeun, made a guest appearance on then labelmate G.NA's music video for "Pretty Lingerie".

2015: Debut with CLC[]

Yujin debuted as a member of CLC on March 19, 2015 with the release of the mini album First Love.

2021–present: Girls Planet 999, Kep1er, departure from Cube Entertainment[]

On July 17 2021, Yujin was revealed as a contestant on a Mnet reality girl group survival show Girls Planet 999. The show premiere on August 6. Its finale was broadcasted on October 22, where it was revealed she had ranked #3, earning her a spot in the resulted girl group Kep1er.

She debuted as the leader of Kep1er on January 3, 2022 with the release of the mini album First Impact.

Sometime in mid-2022, Yujin was removed from Cube Active Artists contract list. This confirms that she has departed from the agency after 11 years. Moreover, she unfollowed and had been unfollowed by Cube.
